Venue of the Month Tallow Chandlers Hall - Life's Kitchen
The Worshipful Company of Tallow Chandlers is one of the 109 Livery Companies of the City of London. They began in the 1200s as a trade organisation, but nowadays are focused on charitable work. Tallow Chandlers’ Hall has been on Dowgate Hill since 1476. The original medieval Hall was burnt down in the Great Fire of London in 1666, so today's Hall dates from 1672.
If you haven’t had the chance to visit Tallow Chandler’s Hall, our venue of the month, you’re missing out! Tucked away on Dowgate Hill adjacent to Cannon Street Station. Tallow Chandlers' Hall is set deep in historic London. It sits on the buried walls of the Roman Governor's Palace, and is a stone's throw from the London Stone, the ancient heart of London. With its history, versatility, space and beautiful open-air court yard, Tallow Chandlers' Hall is the perfect venue for your event.
